Hello! This card is a little different from what I normally make. First off, it uses a blue background. I also dug into my dsp, and actually used a piece! I am the worst hoarder! I buy all these pretty papers and ribbons and other nifty things, and I never want to use them! It's like I feel as if I'm going to waste it! I colored my image with my stampin' write markers. I actually tried to anchor it by using sahara sand under the frog. I don't know if it worked out well, but I liked it better than just having him sitting in all white. I also used some brown ribbon I got at Michaels. It's so cheap! I got a huge spool on sale for $1! Cannot beat a $1 deal!

We're working on getting better pictures up. Chad is trying to play with the lighting and he even made me some new storage for my inkpads and punches! I'll post pictures later when my desk is actually clean enough to photograph!

Wednesday already?!

I can't believe this week is going by so fast! I have had a great week so far at work, and I'm hoping that things keep going in the right direction. I just hope I can last all day since I only got a couple hours of sleep last night!

This card is a birthday card for my friend Tijen. I used olive green, very vanilla and pretty in pink. I colored the flowers with my Stampin' Up markers. The stamp set is Artfully Asian. I love this set, but I don't use it enough!

Chad's working on finding a better place to take pictures since these are so dark, but at least they're up! =)

My first picture post!

I was trying to clean up my scrapbook area yesterday, but unfortunately I got distracted and now it's just half finished! It would be a lot easier to be creative if I could just have someone come behind me and pick up all the stuff I mess up! I swear, my room looks like a tornado hit it!

There's paper everywhere, stamps on the desk, couch and window seats, ribbon scraps on the floor... it's just too messy to even be in here!

I'm going to post one of my favorite cards I've done in awhile. It was for my friend Ashley's birthday. She's such an awesome person, and I wanted to make her something really pretty!

Colors are soft suede, pretty in pink and olive green (all stampin' up). I used the pretty in pink taffeta ribbon (probably my favorite ribbon I've ever owned!)

I love how simple it is! My favorite part is probably the swiss dots embossing I did with my cuttlebug. It just adds a lot to it without it being overwhelming. I also had to add a bit of glitter to the center of the flowers. Everything is better with a little glitter!

My First Post

Hi, everyone! My name's Jamie, and I'm starting a blog! If you're reading this, you probably already knew that, but still, I'll state the obvious.

Why a blog? Well, I have been making a lot of crafty little projects lately, including wedding invitations for my sister-in-law's upcoming big day, and I realized I want to have a nifty little place to put them.

I love going to other people's blogs and seeing all the neat ideas they have and I really hope that eventually I'll get some people who come to visit mine. I like really simple cards and projects. I work full time, so I don't have a lot of extra time to play around with my stamps, punches, ribbon, etc., so I try to make things a little easier so I get some quantity out of my quality scrappin' time.

I have 2 dogs (Scrapper and Zoe) and 3 cats (Althalus, Emmy and Rascal) and an awesome husband (Chad) who is always both my biggest fan and best critic. He helps me make better projects, and who can't appreciate that?!

I hope that everyone likes the things I make, and if someone has questions about how I made something or where I bought something, please email and ask!

Now I just need to hope I don't get a creative block so I'll have something to put up here! haha
